Try These Distinguishing Cocktails To Bring In The New Year!

Tis’ the season to be jolly right! And how can one be jolly without a delicious cocktail/mocktail in hand. What better way to enter the new year than with a drink that adds spice to your typical humdrum midnight toast drink. From grapefruit to coconut, you’ll be astonished at the way you can remix that special cocktail!

Pomegranate Margarita

This cocktail just screams holiday season. It’s red, sweet and easy to make!

You will need your favorite tequila, fresh lime juice, some pomegranate juice and agave nectar.

After you have all ingredients in place you will rub the rim of a tumbler with the lime, then of course dip the glass in a salt:sugar mix. Give all the liquids a hard shake with ice and strain into a glass. Serve on the rocks or without rocks. To add more charm to this cocktail add a lime wheel and some pomegranate seeds!

Grapefruit Mimosa

Grapefruit is infamous for being that go-to winter citrus. And to give the fruit a sophisticated edge to it why not add some bubbly!

This cocktail recipe is very simple. All you need a half a grapefruit and bottle of champagne. Some don’t need sugar for the rim, therefore that ingredient is optional.

Juice the grapefruit and top it off with the champagne! Watch the magic happen with every sip.

French 75

The French 75 is a classic drink yet deserves to be on this list cause it is soooo good! When making this cocktail, most like to use gin. I on the other hand prefer cognac which gives the drink a deeper bronze color.

1.25 oz of Cognac, .25 fresh lemon juice, .25 simple syrup, bottle of champagne anda lemon peel for decoration are the ingredients necessary for this classic drink!

Champagne Margaritas

This cocktail is a sparkling option to a classic drink, The Margarita! It is very festive and easy to make.

All you need for this cocktail is 1/2 cup of fresh lime juice, 1 cup of tequila, 1 bottle of champagne and lime wedges.

Just like a classic margarita you combine the tequila and lime juice together, only difference here is the addition of the champagne. And what is a margarita with out a salted rim!

These drinks put a edgy spin on classics cocktails we all love. With one of these in hand bringing in the new year you’ll be sure to set the tone for the rest of the year.
